The 2nd Gamakatsu Elite Series event of 2016 was held on April 2-3rd at Forster, one of our home waterways. Hometown advantage definitely paid off for us taking out first prize and a nice pay cheque. Following is a brief rundown of how it all went down.

The 2nd Northern Round of the Gamakatsu Team Series has been run and won on an ever difficult Tweed River bite.
Practice: Only having visited the Tweed once before we decided to spend Friday and Saturday on the water to work out what the fish were doing and where the quality bites may come from. We fished everything we could find, Rock Walls, Natural banks upriver, bridge pylons, top water over shallow weed/rocky flats. Continue reading

On our way to Tweed Heads for round 2 of the Northern Gamakatsu Team Series we stopped in at the Coffs Harbour Court store to say Hello.
